im running cyanogen mod 6.1.2 froyo 2.2 and am regularly having problems with apps force closing. reading around different forums seems to suggest that updating the kernel from #409 to #412 might fix this but i cant find any details on how to do this. has anybody got any idea?

I don't have an LG Optimus, but usually you just have to flash the wanted kernel like you did with the ROM, no need for any wiping because it is not a ROM. I flashed a few Kernels and different Radios already, never had a problem doing it. Takes a few seconds. But as I said I don't want to mess anything up, so if anyone else can confirm this then be my guest and flash :)
