Updating Problem

Hey everybody, I've looked for an answer on here, but to no avail. I tried to root my replacement Eris with 1.5, and HBOOT 1.47. Everything was going well until it got to the point of making a recovery, which for some reason, my phone wouldn't let me do. Infuriated and frustrated, I followed the steps to go back to 1.5 to a tee. However, I miss Vlingo so much, and i went to install the OTA 2.1, and it aborted the installation. I now have HBOOT 1.49.2000, so does my phone basically think I have the 2.1v3 leak, or am I just flat-out screwed?

PS: Done multiple factory resets, etc. and they haven't helped either

I think that means you are alreday rooted

No problem!

If you continue having problems, i would maybe hit up EU1 in that thread i posted. That guy is a brain.

I got it to work! I'm trying out different ROMs right now, trying to find one I like.
Trying out Cyanogenmod, Evil Eris, Aloysius, and Ivan's...do you know if I can get my GMAIL contacts in any of those?

Yup. You shouldn't have a problem with that on any Rom.

Take it easy on how many roms you try per day... you might hurt yourself lol

I would also recommend Senseable

Haha, I'm just so excited to finally have it, I don't think I can contain myself!
I only couldn't get my contacts on Cyanogen for some strange reason, but I'll give Sensable a go as well
