Help Upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3 on Huawei U8800 Probleme ( HELP )

hello there..

i have a huawei ideos x5 i downloaded the firmware 2.3 from the huawei official website! i followed the instructions correctly and i turned it into upgrade mode,
after unpacking the package it said Update failed..
for no reason

so please anyone can help me??

Hi fala, When you unpacked the Download, did you open the Guideline and print a copy of the procedure?

If so, I would remove the battery for a minute or two, then refit and follow the Upgrade Operations again.

I had to do this a couple of times with one of my U8150 phones before the Upgrade installed.

Make sure your battery is fully charged before you start. Cheers Neil.

Hello nu2andy! thanks for your reply! i deleted this package and i downloaded a new package ( android 2.3.5 , by huawei ) then i it worked so thank you so much for replying

Hello i downloaded huawei latest firmware 2.3 update,unzipped it copy it to my sd card then switch on the phone in recovery mode as instructed,all i could see was purple colour on my screen.it was not updating.can somebody please help?

Follow my Post #2 to Fala. You may have to repeat the procedure more than once to get it to start the upgrade. Neil.

Hello mayormex! you should download the android 2.3.5 beta version and it's such an amazing version makes your phone rocking for ever, and this version contain no errors or missing files or settings, i still using it till now and thanks god everything is working very well.
here it is the version : Downloads - Huawei Device Co., Ltd..

But please be sure that your purple screen it means that you copied the package to a wrong directory , where your devices can't access it, so follow the instructions step by step to make it works. ( instructions are putted in the zip file with the package )
