Well since ive installed 2.1 it was fine all last night and now... all hell has broken loose on my phone. i get the file space low notification, all widgits on home screens are all messed up and out of whack, smaller icons are randomly being deleted... has anyone else experienced this. i have now done 3 factory resets and reinstalled 2.1 twice since last night its still doing the same thing... cleared cache, and did factory reset through bootloader.

that sucks, but great testimonial on

    1. backing up the phone first
    2. not jumping on board the update as an early adopter

Sorry... My update has been working fine...

I did read on other forums that some have had to do a battery pull for a bit and others have done a factory reset... I've also seen some discussions where there may have been app conflicts with 2.1. Didn't pay too much attention due to not having the issues...

well after a factory reset through the settings, then through bootloader, and clearing the cache, and reinstalling 2.1 i think it might MIGHT be fixed.... gonna pull the battery for a bit also.... just eliminate everything before i call verizon.

    Baa,
You have the WORST luck with your phones.
Just peeked at all your previous posts and either your droid hates you, or you're just not playing nice with your phone.
    man......

    Better luck in the future.

Don't know how you do it.
I'm on phone number one still. Has been fantastic from the get go.
GPS, Camera, network, all heads and shoulders above the other smart phones I've used.

try what i did... pull the battery, do factory reset through the settings/privacy... then load bootloader wipe cache, and factory reset through there. then reinstall 2.1.. mine works now just the clarity on the phone went to crap and the camera picture got really grainy to the point of not knowing what your taking the picture of,

Not a clue, things worked perfect for myself and my coworkers. Sorry to hear you're having issues. A couple of us bought them at launch and some this month. No issues with anything thus far *knock on wood*.

can it be called Early Adopter when the update is pushed OTA?

I've been opting to "Install Later" since I'm sure I'll be one of the people that gets hosed on it. But it's getting annoying to get the notification screen every 30 minutes.

I've also had issues with this morning's update on a 5 day old phone. Some of the close screen buttons don't work, while texting the symbols menu popups up randomly, and my Google browser insists it has to be in German. Changed some of my setting settings, also. It shut off once and wouldn't start up until I plugged it in, despite the fact the battery was 90 percent. We're technology pioneers (or guinea pigs?) - part of the process I guess.

The four bottom buttons don't light up any more on my phone. All I've seen since last night.

Other than live wallpapers, I don't see any advantages either. Some apps seem a little faster though.

that's good news about the apps seeming faster. There are reports of some apps slowing down - some dramatically.

While these live wallpapers are pretty they sure eat up the battery don't they.

Most use a lot of CPU power. The one that uses much less than the others is the Neural Network one.

More info - many of my apps (Browser, Maps, Weather, YouTube, NoteEverything, ..) are MUCH faster and snappier. I haven't seen anything slower yet.

The four bottom lights come on now, but will still go off randomly, like when I first open applications, but come back on later, such as when I rotate the screen (perhaps that's random coincidence too).

I've not updated yet, but I've always noticed a lot of randomness with the lighting of the bottom buttons.

My confidence is certainly rising... maybe tonight when I get home (don't want to be traveling with a dead phone).
