Bought my Rezound last night and love it.

I'm getting blazing fast download speeds, like 30mb on 4g and where my PC is getting 16mb on a WiFi connect my Rezound is pulling closer to 20mb sitting right next to it.

However, using the same WiFi connect my PC pulls 9mb upload speeds and my Rezound is either puttering around the 1-2 mb range or barely finishes the test at around 0.

Same with 4g connection, and I'm using speedtest.net as well as Speakeasy just to make sure.

Is this a common issue? I need to know if i have a problem with the device now so I can exchange it as soon as possible.

    Thanks!

Curious -using the speedtest.net app on my rezound and their website on my netbook, my numbers are virtually identical. 16 down, 4 up.

Yes, I'm saying mine have been inconsistent. I exchanged the phone tonight for a new one and am having the same issues.

Download speeds of 15 to 20 mb followed by upload speeds of 0 to 1 mb.

What kind of router? You need to connect via wifi somewhere else to compare - friend, work, Starbucks, whatever.

In my crummy reception area (and esp. w/VZW's network problems lately) I've gotten similar 3G/4G upload flakiness as yours, but my WiFi uploads have always been right up against my ISP's 5Mb/s throttling limits. I agree it sounds like some mismatch with your router. You've tested different test servers, not just different benchmarks, right?

Actually it was better at home since I was able to compare it to other devices. Even on 4g I'm registering high download speeds and stuggling to complete the test on upload. Results sometimes look like 20mb down and .6 mb upload. Im using two speed tests as well.

Yes, two different speed tests and servers. Just seemed strange.

Afraid I don't know what to tell you. I haven't read other reports of this type of upload problem w/the Rezound. Can you test another phone connected to your home WiFi?

Yes, my old incredible. And it is consistent with my laptop. 15 mb down, 8 mb up. Both speedtest and speakeasy show the same. The Rezound on both gets 15-20 down and less than 1 mb up.

I know its just tests and might not even be an accurate representation of what would really happen if i was uploading files, but as a techie/geek/phonejunkie it is driving me insane lol.

I do notice slight lag in sending text messages....could be a result of spotty upload speeds.

Thanks for the links. I posted the question on xda and will let you know if anyone has an idea, solution, or same experience.

I will be near a Verizon tomorrow and if I stop in I will show the technicians my test log and see what they think.
