Hello, I am being driven mad by my phone as when I go to upload pics onto the laptop it uploads multiple copies of all the pics I have in different sizes. This means that I then have to go through and delete them all (making sure I'm deleting the correct ones!) and it's so annoying. This time I had 390 pics on my phone and it started uploading 1945!!! I hit canc pretty quick! Additional info: when deleting some last night I noticed that there were webpage pics amongst my pics on laptop? (Which I hadn't even saved as pics) There were 2 of each, and again in different sizes. I'm guessing that the settings are wrong somehow but can't seem to find where?

Can anyone help please? Thanks :)

Thanks for joining our forums :)

It appears as if your computer is also copying the thumbnails of your pictures and possibly your browser cache.

I'd recommend using an app like Dropbox, or google drive to automatically sync your photos to the "cloud" where they can also be easily accessed by your pc. If you aren't comfortable with cloud storage, you might want to check out "airdroid" in the play store. It will let you wirelessly transfer files to your PC.
    Dropbox:

    Google Drive:

    Airdroid:

If you need further help, let us know what device you have and we can direct you to your specific device's forum.

Edit: I see you have the htc wildfire s, you might be able to find some info here also:

Don't be afraid to start a new thread if you can't find what you are looking for though:)

    Thanks Guys :)

Can you tell me if there is a way of just changing the settings so it doesn't copy the thumbnails and cache? I would really like to just keep my pics on my phone and laptop, rather than having them in the hands of someone else if that was possible.

I am now just deleting 1560 pics!!! Grrr!!

    Welcome to the forums :)

If you clear the cache of your device then that should fix this issue, if i have understood what you are asking.

    Thanks for joining :D

what steps are you taking to copy your pictures? you might be just telling your pc to copy all of the files off the phone instead of just the specific folder where your pictures are stored.
