I'm wondering if this is possible, my phone is telling me it is waiting for a wifi network but there aren't any around me. Are there any settings I can change so I can just use the 3g connection?

I'm just running the Sholes rom with default Hi res Youtube and it let me upload a video without connecting to wifi. I didn't personally change any settings to the Sholes rom.

Youtube now has a feature where you can upload videos via email from mobile. So just find the video(s) you want to share and send them to your designated youtube address the site gives you when you opt in. Then after a few minutes you should get a confirmation.
