I am now trying to use my laptop to remotely control my android tablet, so I install Droid VNC Server (can be found in play store) on the tablet. It works quite well when my VNC Viewer sets up the connection via IP address. However, my tablet is using a dynamic IP address, so I want to set up the connection via hostname. I am using RealVNC Viewer on my laptop. When i key in the hostname of my tablet, the viewer says that "the hostname is valid but viewer cannot receive any data from the server". I am wondering whether Droid VNC Server supports hostname connection but I dont know how to find out. Does anyone know about this app? This issue is quite urgent, if anyone knows the answer pls help.
