I moved to London a month ago, and unlocked my US captivate. I now use o2, but I can't get any data. I suspect its a problem w/ the bands, which carrier would then be best for the Captivate in London, if any are possible.

Note: While I was roaming in the UK w/ my ATT sim, I was able to get data service.

    O2 uses 900MHz and 1800Mhz. AT&T uses 850MHz and 1900MHz.

Since the Captivate is quad-band, one might think it'd work. Maybe it's because the Captivate only supports HSPDA on 850/1900/2100 MHz. Perhaps O2 uses HSPDA for data.

Admittedly, not my forte here... just trying to help as best I can with what I know.

Got the same question - any idea which UK carrier uses 2100MHz for HSDPA? Orange or Vodafone, perhaps?
