Help USB and Storage Modes

This is seriously starting to annoy me. The reason we buy androids is so we don't have proprietary crap.

I'm trying to get my DNA connected to my computer to grab the backup files I created, as well as sync some of my music and photos. Everytime I open HTC Sync Manager, it hangs on connecting then says no device found.


Anyone got some ideas? I'm on a Mac running 10.8. The DNA is Rooted and Running a custom kernel.

Did it work prior to the custom kernel?

To be honest, the first thing I did when I got home was change it away from stock.

I seem to be the only one having trouble with syncing, at least the first to post about it. I don't forsee that being an issue with the rom. This happens >>

Since I never played with stock, when you drag down the top menu, what are your USB options? Mine just shows usb debugging, and all the internet options, nothing for Media Sync.

Stock you get this when plugged in to USB, no sync manager needed:
