USB c and micro usb

I just got a 3T and have been going through the same thing. I'd actually bought a set of adapters months ago in anticipation of the Pixel I ended up not getting. They were 2 for $8.99. They are tiny and I'll probably lose them pretty quickly. Then I found some more at 4 for $4.99 that come with a little chain leash so you can attach them to your micro usb cable. I've also bought two usb-c cables, one for $4.99 and one for $6.99. So yes, the adapters are less expensive that the cables assuming you don't misplace them. (My $6.99 cable is bright red; I got that for work because it'd be more obvious if it was "borrowed").

Yes, but you need an adapter with a 56k ohm pull-up resistor I believe, such as this:

I use a few of them :)

Edit: I trust the Tronsmart brand, but if you desire to go with an Anker brand, here is this:

FYI: I use the Tronsmart adapters, when i got my Moto Z Force Droid. Now all those micro usb cords won't go to waste.:p
