USB connection on HP 7" Intel Android

I am trying to open a USB port on an HP & 1800 android tablet. It is not listed under Settings, Wireless and Network (nor under storage.)

Is it possible to activate the USB connection on this tablet?

The USB port on the Slate is already active, but is only available for file sharing and charging. when connected to the computer pull down the notification window and you will have options on how to connect the device to your computer.
