Help USB device not recognized samsung behold 2

Im new to this android stuff, and I have a problem with this issue
***USB device not recognized samsung behold 2***
I plug in to my laptop usb and it work fine and every thing, but when I plug in to my desktop the pc just keep tell me USB device not recognized. but can charge the phone fine
can any one help me?

is your desktop running 64bit windows?

sorry I dont know but Im running window xp home service pack 3 on my desktop and serivce pack 2 on my laptop,
