    Hi Everyone.

Does anyone know, if I use a USB Jig, will it remove root or anything?

    Help greatly appreciated! Cheers! :)

Please note that there are two jigs. One will boot into download mode and the other will reset the counter, but only if you have a galaxy s2 with the old bootloader.
With the new bootloader the jig doesn't work. It also only takes you to the download mode.

    Hey, you got lucky :)

I guess I picked up the latest bootloader when I took an OTA upgrade to 2.3.4.

I used another, more complicated, way to reset the counter on mine so it's all looking good.

    All the best,
    Alan.

That's one of the benefits of custom firmware as they have the older bootloader in them

Yeah. I rooted by flashing an insecure kernel, so I guess Kernels don't include the bootloader.
