Help usb tether on inredible.

hey guys just a question on how u guys manage to do this. I know that it has a built in mobile broadband connection in the settings but i believe u need to pay 20$/ month extra for it.

I dled this app on market called pdanet that lets you usb tether (by opening up usb debugging). However the problem i have is that the connection is really slow.

I only get like 128 kbit connection. I think the reason why is that for some reason my phone is not using 3g. It still says 1x in the connection bar. Any ideas?

so before connecting to the pc, did you actually see 3G on the phone? then it went to 1x when you connect to pc?

it only goes to 3g when i use the internet on the phone while connected. But that doesnt seem the effect the speed i get on the computer..

i have pdanet.

Pdanet is just as fast if not faster than the speed test on my phone.

I only get 1 bar here in my neighborhood... I wish verizon would put another tower here in north seattle.
