does anyone know for sure?
Get pdaNet or EasyTether from the market.
Yeah this is really easy to do with azilink. The setup on the phone is easy, but configuring things on your computer can be tricky -- it's all operating system dependent.
I had a post about how to set this up with Ubuntu:
But if you are using Windows or OS X then things are slightly different (and a bit easier). Anyway, here is the link to the azilink home page:

If you don't want do set things up then you can simply use PDAnet or EasyTether.
I love easytether. Does everything I need
Can you use these easytether or pdanet to tether with a Samsung Tab or any of the other android tablets?
You mean use your evo to tether a tablet? I'm 90% sure yes but someone else correct me.
Ironically, I'm using Easy Tether to type this on my desktop via my Evo, since my Charter is down for some reason...
Yes, use my evo to tether a tablet...like a Samsung Tab.
Download and install cyanogenmod 6 and it is free.
I use easytether for my only internet connection. My wife's evo has the pay one fore secure sites and I have the free one for everything else. After all I can check my email from my evo.
I imagine someone would get easy tether to work with an ipad if it had a usb port.
