Root USCC Desire Rooted and Goldcard... still wont update?!?

I have rooted my desire... then backed up with titanium and clockwork. then i made a goldcard and tried to update my phone to froyo with numerous roms. Since its CDMA will only some roms work? i even made the goldcard again another way but no matter what when i update to the new rom it freezes on the HTC screen. then i do a restore from my earlier backup and all is well. Is there a recommended rom for my uscc desire? btw i have hboot .98

I am also having this problem with most roms. the only one i have gotten to work is cyanogenmod.

DO NOT FLASH CUSTOM ROMS THAT DO NOT SAY CDMA ON THEM THEY WILL NOT WORK

on xda devs will have CDMA written in all the roms that support CDMA

please read the various sites before doing things like this, you could have alreqady damaged your phone with no return if you are not carefull
what if you had tried to flash a gsm radio to it? thats a brick

Use CTRL+F and type CDMA as your search term. it lists all CDMA roms in that thread
