Help Use Blinking Capacitive Buttons As Notification

I love the incredible, but the notification LED is not visible unless you are very close to the phone. I've seen the "LEDs Hack" app that can disable the button illumination. Is there a utility/method that would enable the capacitive buttons to blink for notifications?

thats a great idea... but it wont happen probably until the dinc is rooted soon

thanks, I'm guessing you are right that we'll need root to control the buttons, because the LEDs Hack app for the Droid/N1 is root only. I just hope this feature is possible, as the LED is almost useless for me.
