Leaked Documents Show UK Web Censorship Proposal Written By Record Labels | Techdirt
Since I don't download any unlawful material, it really doesn't bother me. As far as I am concerned, copyright holders should have the power to do whatever they want with copyright theives: and if Government let these powers slip under the radar, so be it.
The UK - like so many other countries - has let piracy go on, Government has been dawdling, flailing like fools. If the BPI or whoever wish to take the lead then so let them.
That's a bit excessive.
Record companies need to do more to adapt rather than try to shut down the internet. Services like Spotify are a good way forward in my opinion.
Don't worry - this draconian measure will not succeed.
And the thing is, with this censorship plan, you only need to be ACCUSED of file sharing without any burden of proof. Any person who supports this is a fool.
And probably a labour voter
