I really want to map the Cube button for gaming with NESoid or other emulators. Any ideas?

that would be awesome but the problem is the cube over rides everything and you would need a custom rom that assigns the cube button to do something useful. If you just delete the cube.apk it will freeze your phone when you press it. So it needs to be done with a non stock behold 2

Not sure if this helps, but if you root and install BH_MAN's updated BH2 stock rom w/ no TouchWiz, he remapped the lame Cube button to be a search button, which is what it should have been to begin with.

I have no idea how to remap buttons, but maybe this could be a start for you since the Cube is gone in his rom.

Hey that should work because emulators can map to the Search button. So if it thinks the Cube button is the Search button, it'll work. But I returned my phone today.
