Help Using an old micro-usb charger on my Dinc

B/c of the need to charge this thing every chance one gets, I was wondering if using an older micro-usb charger (originally from my LG Dare) would be a huge mistake, or completely fine.

Anyone have anything?

The LG Dare charger works just fine. I use it sometimes and it's the only thing my fiance has ever used.

The stock charger outputs 5V 1amp. USB is 5V 0.5amp.

Anything thats puts out the same voltage between the amperage will be fine.

Using my old ENV2 charger at work right now. Charges up fine, but I use the oem cable to overnight charging, just to be safe.

I have not used my stock charger since the first week(too short). I use my Kindle charger. Works great. Standardization of chargers is wonderful.

^ I agree. Standardization of chargers is as convenient as sliced bread.

I'm using my Dare Charger as well, because I broke the prongs on the OEM one within 5 minutes of owning it. It stuck to far out of the wall and I backed into it with my computer chair and bent them.

You can use any amperage charger you want. The rating is only an indication of the max the charger can provide. It will only pull what it wants as long as the voltage is 5v. This is mandated by Ohm's law. The current drawn will be determined by the voltage (always 5v) and the phone's resistance (which doesn't change with charger).

The most the Incredible will pull is 1A. If the charger can put out more, it doesn't matter. If it puts out less, it charges slower.

i have been using a moto 850mHa for a month now. and it does charge slower then the HTC one it works just fine.

My wife has my old Dare and we use each others chargers all the time. My Dinc car charger was for my old Dare and it works better than any charger I have tried.

That is the way of Apple. I would say it has worked well for them, but it did not in the 90's and I doubt it will in this decade.
