I forgot my droid charger at home today and my phones dead so I used my co-workers ENVY charger to charge my droid X and a weird screen came up: "bootload 30.30" the screen read. Is this Not ok to do? The charger is the same size and fits so I figured it would be ok...

After this screen poped up I unplugged it immediately.

should be fine, we use different chargers on phones constantly at my work and the only phone we ever have any issues doing it with is the motorola rival... and lets just say thats the LEAST of that phone's problems! hahaha

Hmm. I'm still concerned about the weird message that popped up.

Its the bootloager screen. thats the screen you have to go into to flash your phone with Motorola's RSD program. not a big deal that it poped up on ya. your phone just went brain dead for a few. if thats the only time you have seen it, don't worry too much about it. if it keeps popping up. don't use that charger.

you should have no problem using the envy charger. Its a micro usb charger just like the droids. That screen popping up is no big deal.
