Ok... so, I have an LG Esteem phone and I'll soon be relocating to an area where MetroPCS is not available and I can't get a signal. However, Verizon and Straight Talk are available and have signals just fine. Is there anything that can be done to my LG Esteem in order to make it work on one of those two? Also, would I be able to have 3/4G at all? I don't want to be stuck on 1x with a 4G phone, you know? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I would hate to lose the Esteem, all because I can't use it on Verizon/Straight talk and then have to buy a new phone. The 3/4G is a big deal too but not an absolute must to have. Thanks in advance for any help/information! :smokingsomb:

Welcome to Android Forums, Demented.

Verizon's old "Revolution" was basically the Esteem. I'd take the device to a Verizon store and ask them to activate it. ;)

Thanks for the welcome! I have heard the Esteem and Revolution were basically the same phone. Do you think they will notice the metro bloatware/apps and not activate it for me, though? I do have an extended battery and back case that says "Verizon 4G LTE" on it, maybe that will be enough. But do you think it'll work properly, 3/4G and all?
