Hi everyone i got a samsung galaxy 3 for xmas from my son
Ive had the same phone a.nd sim for ten year. I dont even
have a pc or laptop so learning to use the phone is totally new ive had a few problems but worked through them until
now. Whenever i go on a web site and need to write some-
thing i move to the text box press the touch screen and the
keypad apear. When i try this on the samfirmware.com web
site this process dose not work i get to the sign in page and
thats all i press the touch screen on the text box but unlike
every other web site the keypad dose not appear. Has any
body know why or whats wrong thanks in advance.

Hello Wayne and welcome to Android Forums. I have not visited the site you speak of but sometimes web sites are not phone friendly. I would like to invite you to check into a section we have here just for your phone. It's full of users that share problems and fixes. If you care to, just click on this link and you will be in the Samsung Galaxy 3 area. You might try asking there if anyone using your device has had the same experience and a possible work-a-round. Good luck to you and thanks for joining us. Here is that link: Samsung Galaxy Apollo (3) - Android Forums

    Wayne,

    Welcome to AndroidForums!

Not sure if this will help you, but in some apps, long-pressing (i.e., press and hold) the menu key/button will bring-up the soft keyboard.

    Hope that helps!

    Cheers!

Try zooming the page so the box is bigger. Sometimes text fields are obscured by css styles.
