Do you happen to have a how to on that so I'm sure I'm running it right?

    You have to be rooted.

Basically you open it, allow root access, boot normally. After it loads, the upper left corner will say something like install host files. Click that.

I was pretty ticked off that Google would do this. All along, I was telling iPhone users that iTunes is evil, that they pretty much block whoever doesn't kick Jobs' (now Cook's) butt. But Google is going in that direction, the wrong direction. Yes, I know apps like Adfree, Adblock Plus, etc. are freely available directly from the vendor. But the point is that Google, being open source, shouldn't ban/censor any app, unless it's malware/spyware or something outright illegal.

Certainly not defending them because I completely agree, but I believe they said it was against their TOS for the play store and said that it violated others rights by their choice to allow ads.

Yeah... I'll always run ad-free. If the app is worth it I'll either buy it or donate.
