I am new to android and made the mistake of enabling the backup assistant. It serves no purpose when I already have all my contacts on Google.

It is frustrating me because it does a daily sync and is constantly running on my phone. I searched and found help with removing from an Inc but their menu options are different and I couldn't get it to work.

Does anyone know how to get rid of it after making the mistake of installing it???

    Help please!

Try Settings>Application>Running services....find back up assist and click to stop it from running until you start the app again...

Not sure if sending it to the trash bin will uninstall, maybe someone else will chime in...

I have tried this and it does work for a while. But it just opens back up later on. Anyone know how to get rid of it for good?

Hard reset and don't invoke it after the reboot. No way to delete the app.
