Help Verizon data widget= force closes??

I updated to android market 3.0.25 (I think ha), and everything was working fine. However, after the new Verizon data widget appeared on my phone a couple of days ago, I can no longer update any apps, and attempting to download apps results in either 1) The app never starts to download or 2) It always says there is a 'packet error' or 'signature error.' Also, many many apps will now boot and immediately force close. Help!
