I'm curious as to how Verizon determines the etf's in regards to the base (350 or 175). Do they do it based on what phone opened the contract, or what phone is currently activated on the line?

Customer agreement on vzw.com will answer your question.

Indeed it is. I must have missed it the last time I read it.

yeah, its based on last time you renewed the contract. Switching phones doesn't affect the ETF.

It's just a base 350 minus 10 for each month you complete of the current contract. Nothing to do with the device itself.
