[Verizon] I bought my wife a Galaxy Nexus and have little time to set it up...

I get her phone tomorrow and I was wondering what ROMs people are using and what kernels work the best.

I looked at this thread and was kinda sad, I have a Bionic (you guys are so much better off with your phone).

I'm running liquid 1.25 with lean kernel 3.1. It seems to me that lean kernel is the crowd favorite regardless of what tomorrow people are running.

One more for AOKP b31 here. Currently running its default kernel for a couple of days to compare, but usually I'm a leankernel fan, too. (Mind you, the battery life has been great on the default, too. 15 hours and some change with 3 hours screen-on time yesterday using the 2100 mAh battery from Verizon).

This is my setup as well and I'm loving it. I use Nova Launcher instead of the Liquid-supplied Apex, but that's just personal taste. I've used AOKP and that is very good as well.

Another vote for Liquid 1.25 here. I also run Nova Launcher but I'm using the stock kernel. Best ROM I've used on my phone although others are great as well. Liquid just happens to be my favorite.

Thank you everyone for your help.. I'll probably try Liquid 1.25 with the Lean kernel 3.1 for better battery life first.

I'm on liquid 1.25 as well but I'd say you should slum it for a week or so on stock so you can fully appreciate liquid or any of the custom roms.

Another vote for LiquidSmooth v1.25 and iMoseyOn's leanKernel. Though, I'm running iMoseyOn's v3.1exp2 kernel, I tend to run his experimental kernels.

Got the phone setup with Liquid and the Lean kernel. The phone is working flawlessly.
Thanks again everyone.
