Well, I got my phone on Christmas Day. It has worked up until this point. I was at school when I noticed it died and when I got home I plugged it in and tried turning it on. It didn't work so therefore I let it charge for 8 hours, didn't work. I let it set over night and it still wasn't working. When I plug it in, it shows a glowing light then a black screen. Anybody having the same problem? It's not the battery because we tried that...
    PLEASE HELP!

    Thanks ~ Posted 1-15-14

Have you tried a different charging cord by any chance?

Also I see you posted your question in the root forum. Are you rooted, and if so, are you running a custom recovery and/or custom rom?

I assume "we tried that" means that you used a battery that was charged, and it charged when you plugged the charger in.

When the power to a computing device falls to 0, strange things can happen. That's one of many reasons the phone shuts off in a controlled manner before the battery dies completely.

I also assume that even with a known-good battery you can't get the phone to come on. That would be covered under the warranty (unless you voided the warranty by rooting or flashing a new ROM). Bring it into Verizon and see what they can do for you. (In contrast to their horrible customer service, the techs working in their stores are usually pretty good.)

    ToriHawkins22,
I would try your cable with a PC (i.e. maybe your adapter is bad), and
I would also try your cable with a different adapter
(doing either, expect a slower charge rate)
I would also try a different, but good quality cable with your adapter
(if it's not a good quality cable, it may also charge slowly)

When you say it's not the battery, and you "tried that" what do you mean?
