Who would buy the Motorola XT610? It's the Droid X that's been crippled and with a price tag of around $70-$100 less? You still have to have service and an expensive data plan. Is it really worth trying to save $70 over 2 years to get a crippled phone?

If the phone pictured is the HTC Merge I think that will be the end of people having the Touch Pro 2. I know I made the switch and could not be happier, but there are a lot who will not because of the physical keyboard. That phone looks like the TP2 running andriod, not a bad mix, but still not as good as the X. IMO

Nice, but I don't see the need for all of these different sets. Its hard enough now to get them to update the damn phones with newer versions of Android.. With these manufacturers having so many different phones is going to slow things down.

  9. I agree with you on this it is the same size screen with a smaller processor. Not worth it in my opinion

Everyone has different opinions and to some, a lower price tag on a similar phone may be worth it...especially if they don't have a lot of funds to purchase a higher quality phone or are new to the android/smartphone world

Verizon is smart in investing time and money in android. Look at what the Incredible, Droid, Droid X, Droid 2, etc. has done for them....these phones are selling quick and it only makes sense.

I still say the Droid X will last a while, IMO, as the top phone. Even with these options, the only thing that would really entice me personally would be the world phone....but honestly I don't need that so I'm still good :D

I'm not too impressed with any of the phones listed. Which is a good thing, cause I love my X and do not want to be tempted to switch.
