I have rooted Note 2 (stock) and the latest OTA update keeps trying to push to my phone, but fails. How do I get this to stop? Do I unroot, update then re-root or can I flash a stock rom that mimics this update? Also, can anyone tell me what this update is? Is it 4.3 (my phone is 4.1.2)?

    1) Yes. Unroot, update, reroot.

    2) It probably is 4.3, so you might want to think twice about accepting it.

Why do I want to think twice about updating to 4.3? I'd really love to be able to move my apps to my SD card!

This is why you don't want to take the update.

Ok, so unrooting, updating then re-rooting is out of the question. How do I get the update to quit trying to push to my phone besides "delaying" it for a week, every week, until the end of time (or until I get a new phone)? :p

    Any ideas out there? :D

Btw. You can use link2sd for moving apps to sd on 4.2.

Ok, links2sd doesn't work. I'm on 4.1.2. Any other ideas?

That's funny. Cause I have it on my phone and its working perfectly. Did you read the instructions for it? How to partition your SD card so it will work?
You have to create a second partition on your SD card. Just do it on your PC. There is a free program called easus partition master. You can download it. Format card with two partitions. Second partition can be fat32 or Ext. I used ext 2. Second partition only has to be 200 or so MB.
After you have done this. Put card back in to phone. Install link2sd. The first time it runs. It will ask you what type of second partition you have? Choose whatever type you created. It will reboot your phone and mount the second partition.
Now, you can link as many apps as you have. I have over 350 apps and still have plenty of room left.
Either you did not read the instructions and do this? Or your phone is not rooted. No offense. But if you do it as stated in the instructions for the app on XDA. You will profit..

Yes. On the root of your phone is a folder named cache. Inside that is a folder named fota. Using a root explorer app like es file explorer. Take that for a folder and choose CUT, not copy. Move it to your external SD. Reboot your phone. Now, you will be asked three more times to take the update. Keep saying cancel or no. Sorry I can't remember exactly what it says. But the point is on the third time you say cancel. That's it. Its done. You will not be asked again.
I found these instructions on another forum. It worked for me and I have had no problems since then. BTW. There are also factory Roms with root injected on that (other) forum. There are zips and Odin files. You do not have to go through all that reroot process. You can just flash these and upgrade or downgrade. Try it. You will like it...
