This made me LOL a bit. You mixed your words. "a suburb East of LA" is more like it. When I think of East LA, I think of mariachi music blasting, street taco vendors, and lots of little tiendas. Ontario on the other hand is a more upscale city.
Calls to different stores, but I found out today the two where I live do not have them yet. I am starting to actually doubt I will get the device this week and perhaps told BS otherwise on stores that "have" them. Lying for something so trivial seems...trivial.
By tomorrow night we should know if they will get them at launch. As I mentioned before if they don't have stock by tomorrow night I'll plan on being at Verizon before thy open.
please update with the time it took from being "on the truck" to "delivered" There is a window of 2 hours where no one will be at my house, and I know that's most likely when the FedEx truck will come :|
Mine is in my hands right now. Too bad about the encrypted bootloader. It likely means I won't be keeping it. I know it has been hacked, but I hate the idea of that kind of a workaround, unless they can figure out how to actually overwrite the encrypted bootloader.
The annoying thing for me is that my phone shipped yesterday 2-Day from PA, yet I'm about 50 miles southeast of Ontario, CA(lifornia).
Not sure if Verizon finally gave into all of m complaints and rants, but my S3 just showed up on my front door. For those still in "delivery limbo" I wish you all the best, and thank those kind souls who equally put up with my cries of anguish
I got my phone in the truck... (bout 6 chicks deep) I just hope it gets there SOON!!! I would be heartbroken to see the undelivered status
Omg my Parcel app woke me up early Am and has been updating statues ever since!!! Now my phone is out for delivery!! YAYYY and pathetically.. I heard a loud truck roll up to my house, I jumped off the couch and looked out the window before bounding out the door.. and luckily I did.... because it was just the garbage truck! :'( hehehe - I felt stupid for a sec >.<
I got my phone in 4 hours but i think it really depends on where you live and the route they take to deliver things. You can always try leaving a signed note like a lot of other people suggested.
I just spoke to a friend of mine who works at Best Buy. I've got some bad news, Rushmore... He said BB corporate has been monitoring your posts on this thread...They ain't happy. He said they are going to give you your phone tomorrow but it's going to be the one they've been using as a store demo and it's been dropped and scratched up quite a bit. And if you complain anymore they're giving you a Tracfone! Benny
"On FedEx truck for delivery" It's impressive how they can let a package sit like that and move it hundreds of miles in the last few hours. It never logged out of Memphis until like 4:30 this morning. Waiting for the truck...........:bebored:
Does it really matter which tools are used? Of we can get past it, we're home free. From what I read this morning they have made significant progress so far, and the one dev who everyone is counting on to do the deed hasn't even gotten an S3 to work on yet. He's supposed to get it Thurdsay. I am very optimistic on this because of what I read. I think its just a matter of time now.
Same here as you all. On a FedEx truck for delivery Too bad I wont be able to go get it til this afternoon. Gonna be a looong day
I shop online a lot. UPS, FedEx, and rural mail carriers each have a regular route they cover daily. When they arrive of course can vary due to many factors, but most of the time each gets here pretty close to the same hour each day. It would depend on where you live and when the FedEx driver passes through your area on his route. Sorry I can't nail it down.
Bored while waiting for FedEx? Here's a short but interesting article to read if you like. Why Verizon Shouldn
