Good news the page at Software Update: DROID X by Motorola has changed from the last upgrade from froyo to gingerbread .Go to the site and click on the benefits pdf and there it is .Maybe friday???? lets hope

Nice to see official mention of what release (.596). Hoping to have it for the weekend!
When I went into Verizon last week they said the X2 drops May 26th. So here's hoping it is released tonight, and that I still get it since I'm Rooted.
Wasn't the page for the update to 2.2 up only a couple days before froyo was available?

it was froyo every day i had checked it untill last night because it mentioned the stupid madden football that i wish I could get rid of .Here is to blockbuster being gone .I need to root
It wouldn't suprise me if they dropped it the 26th so that people getting the X2 could get the immediate benefit of GB. Would be a great selling point for getting people to buy a 3G only phone in a increasing 4G hyped environment.

If it this is THE sign of the end of the world, the next OS wouldn't be labeled "Ice Cream Sandwich". Google would be talking about 2.4 being "Angel Food Cake".
