I'd love to have an app to control Vertex Illumina LED fixtures. I'm sure many others would love to see this also. Here is the light. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BizXT0dIHNE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkqwjXy_w5Y&feature=related Vertex Illumina SR 1200 LED gets captured on video Vertex Aquaristik > Products > Lighting > LED > Illumina > Illumina SR 200 I'd be happy to help test. Unfortunately, after a quick look, I could not find much about the protocol to talk to these lights, but what I did find references something called Zigbee. That is a wireless protocol that Android does not support. -frank
I've heard of that before. some home automation stuff. Hmm. I would have thought it to be more proprietary than that. I wonder if there is a way to port the "v-link" wirelss model through a router and access it online. Thanks for looking into it. -Mike
Reef controller running Android with ZigBee and an app store. reef hobbyists spend massive amounts on stuff like this. Vertex Cerebra Now on Beta | Reef Gizmo
Sorry, I should not have said Android does not support, I do not believe there is a phone with a zigbee radio in it. Since zigbee is what is uses to talk to the Vertex, you need special built hardware with Android and a driver for the radio running on it. So, it won't work on a normal consumer phone with Android. -frank
