This problem has likely been addressed 10,000 times considering how useless the documentation of the ADT both online and in print. Using Eclipse, Target Android 1.5, and the unedited example of "HelloActivity.java" , with a simple 1.5 virtual device: I receive the following errors

    [2011-08-03 20:32:19 - Emulator] invalid command-line parameter: Files.
[2011-08-03 20:32:19 - Emulator] Hint: use '@foo' to launch a virtual device named 'foo'.
[2011-08-03 20:32:19 - Emulator] please use -help for more information

which are utterly incomprehensible. Would someone please tell me what is going on. Utterly frustrated.

Welcome to AF.com. I'll move this to the developer area.

Is there a space in the name of the folder where you installed the sdk?

We generally dont merge unless there is a lot of need for it, two identical conversations started by the same person etc...

I am going to add this to the FAQs though :)

If you want to do a write up would love to have a "quick tip" thread to point at ;)

I truly appreciate everyone's help. I only ask that I receive a messsage as to where the thread goes. I leave merging moving etc. to the experts. Thanks again
