The EVO 4g was the first phone I have had that was very usable for a all-around business tool. Although there are some new phones out there with great features, there are negatives that restrict their usefulness, e.g. non-swapable battery, no external storage. Even the EVO's full capability is restricted in trying to use a 32gb card while in Sprint mode.
What has brought me to this forum is the potential to extend the useful life of the EVO 4g while increasing its capabilities, and sharing the journey with persons who would do the same.

    welcome to AF!!!!!!!!!!!

i still have my og evo....i think if there ever was a phone that needed to be rooted to unleash the true power of the phone, it is the og evo. so i would recommend that you root the phone so that you can extend the battery life, increase performance, and you can even move your apps fully to the sd card.

please visit the EVO 4G - All Things Root - Android Forums

    ....and check out my guide:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...-rooting-gingerbread-2-3-5-dummies-guide.html
