How strong is the vibrate mode on the Evo? I currently have a Hero and I miss calls all the time because it vibrates so weakly. This is huge for me because I actually leave my ringer off most of the time. Anybody had any problems with it? Anybody own a Hero previously and know what I'm talking about?

My Evo should be arriving in the mail Monday. I'm excited, but I will have to seriously consider returning it if I have to keep telling my girlfriend that I didn't feel her phonecall.

I had a Hero and the EVO is much better. Hero was the worst vibrate I ever had on a phone.

I came from a Samsung BlackJack - I know a huge jump :D and in comparison the EVOs vibrate is not near as strong IMHO as the BlackJack.

It's strong enough to be loud enough to wake me up if it's laying on the table next to my bed.

I miss SMS on vibrate all the time but calls never. The text notification just isn't long/persistent enough.

Just a quick FYI/Tip...That's easily fixed using the custom vibrate setting in Handcent

The Hero is more a buzz than compared to the Evo. The Evo's vibrate is more of a low-key humming.
