I noticed my Moto G vibrates when I turn it on and when I shut it down. How do I turn this off?

Do you mean turn the phone off completely or just lock the screen?

Why does it bother you then? AFAIK most phones do that.

    Waste of battery.
I think it started after I downgraded to Kit Kat. My sons Nexus 5, with Kit Kat does it too. Never did it with Jelly Bean.

My LG Motion on ICS does it all the time for start up/shut down. There isn't a setting to disable it either, but I don't mind. It doesn't bother me.

Most phones do it. It lets you know its powering on/off. If your worried about wasting the battery in that few seconds it vibrates then youd be better served not powering it on and off all the time and just leave it on.
