You'll most likely lose root if you install it. Just deny it, wait a few days and see if and update is released by any devs

Rooted, after trying a different card (PNY 8GB from Wal-Mart) and doing the pop it in and out trick. Win7/64 as well. Posting this via AndroidTether *grin*
Diego, I assume you already answered this, but it's a persistent root, right?
Worked perfectly on the first try. I've got an AData 16gb Class 6 SD card if it matters.
I have a question though. Is this like other root processes discovered earlier that go away on a reboot?
This might be a dumb question but could the USB port matter? because I have a fairly old computer
No, doesn't matter. Are you having trouble rooting?
If so, do this:
Format your microSD card to FAT (Full format), then format it to FAT32 (full format).
Then, Read my post above.
yeah, if you go through the vid, he does a decent job (although pretty fast) at explaining everything. if you already have the sdk, skip the beginning where he is installing everything. don't worry about htc sync either, i don't have it installed.
what he does have in his sdk file though are all of the other files you'll need already in the tools folder, superuser.apk, busybox, etc. as well as a text file with all the cmd prompts to just copy and paste. very user friendly
I deleted my sdk, used his and only installed the packages relating to 2.1 and the usb drivers.
when I type "adb shell" I don't get anything about the server being out of date or daemon starting successfully, I just get "error: device not found".
Same thing for me. Is it Ok to move on? Do I have to see something about the daemon? All I get is "error: device not found".
So I rooted Sunday. Unrooted today just to get some apps back that I deleted. Now when I try to run "1.bat" I get permission denied! Any clue why???
Yes, that means ADB.EXE was already running on your machine. Most likely from a previous sessionSame thing for me. Is it Ok to move on? Do I have to see something about the daemon? All I get is "error: device not found".
Nope. You gotta have adb shell in recovery.
