When I try to call someone in my address book, I keep getting "Video call cannot be setup" in Android 4.4.2. I don't have any kind of video call program installed. When I clear that, it says "Call ended", then takes me back to my address book entries. Anyone know how to fix this?

Well, the default dialer on most phones can initiate a video call. Are you pressing the wrong button by mistake?

What phone/dialer app are you using?

Make sure you don't have Skype and disable it if you do

The phone is a TruConnect X401. Don't know which dialer it uses. Is the dialer a hardware piece of the phone?

    Hi

No, the dialer is the app that makes phone calls. Its a system app but can be replaced by an installed app. Sometimes they have a button for normal calls and another to start a video call (often next to each other).

See attached - video call button is bottom left.

Just put the sim card back in my old flip phone. These android phones are too complicated.

    Hi again

I sometimes agree with that sentiment. Didn't mean to put you off advancing technology!
