    Hey all,

Recently i got 2 android phones by samsung. One is Samsung Galaxy i5801 Apolo and the other Samsung i5500(Galaxy 5).

Both these mobiles don't have a front camera in it. Is it possible to make a video call from these devices without a front camera?

Any options through android apps or etc??

Looking forward to the words from u..

    Thanks in advance.:)

I wonder if a mini periscope would work...

Basically, a mirror that you would mount in front of your camera lens that would reflect to another mirror that's facing you. It would work theoretically, but a) it would be bulky, even with a small sleeve design that fits over the phone and b) could be costly to come up with a product like that.

    It would work though....

Its called fring ;). But you can only video call to another running fring . Not standard video calls. They had support for skype, but removed it recently.

    Hi,

I was planning to get a new android phone (possibly Motorola DEFY) that does not have a front facing camera. It is hard to find a mid range smartphone with all good features.

Will Fring let you configure and use the primary camera for making video calls?

    Thanks.

Try, Tango can be downloaded from Home - Tango

I am looking for another app as it is banned in UAE... it connects luckily but fine with other regions.

Motorola fire xt is middle range and has front camera. I am not sure skype works well in this model for video calls.

Any body has Motorola Fire XT which supports skype video calls please reply.

Buy Motorola Fire XT-XT530 at Best Price in India - Also find Specifications, Photos, Features & Reviews

    Thanks
