Video chat- Skype on fring???

Hi all,
I'm using an LG Ally, and I want to show my kid to the mother living abroad.

I was planning on using the camera on the phone, install Fring, configure it for Skype, and call up her skype account, AND TADA! You have a happy grandmother.


Only problem: I can'T find anyway to configure Fring for Skype. I tried to call her up using google talk, but the video isn'T enabled it seems.

Any other way? Anything I'm missing?

Skype made fring pull skype support from their program some time ago. As far as i know, there isnt any application out yet (aside from qik video calling) that allows from phone to computer video calls.

Thanks for the reply. Even then Qik is very useless, it'S doesnt' streamlive (like their website announces) or at least I can't see the option on the phone, even if I've configure a channel on livestream, and synced it with my qik profile. The phone app just doesn't go anywhere. I've configured my facebook and youtube profiles, and still can't upload there. litteraly alomost all videosuploaded to my Qik page are not viewable (black screen, "stream is not restored" message).


So how does Qik video calling work?

If you are trying to chat with another EVO or an iPhone 4, then download Tango from the marketplace. Its free and works very well.

Yes but what about from phone to pc i have tried alot most of them use the back camera why have they not sorted this as iphone customers love there's Yahoo was supposed to be doing it but they have just sorted it for iphone customers

Yahoo messenger is coming out with video and audio on their PC app and android app. This may be another option for you.

Shouldn't Google Talk be able to do that?
