Video chat with Xoom

I just tried Tango to video chat between my xoom and my HTC TB, and it didn't work well. Lots of high pitched noises.
Xoom doesn't support video skype that my TB has.
TB doesn't support video gtalk that my xoom has.

apparently, i could get gtalk with video on my TB if i rooted and upgraded to gingerbread, but i'd like to avoid rooting.

Any other solutions?

Do you think the high pitched noises were feedback through the devices? Have you tried separating the two devices so the microphone on one does not pick up the sound from the other? Just a thought.

Hello there,

If you are trying to Tango with a device that is next to you, a feedback loop may be causing this noise. If this is the case, please try moving further away from the other device.

In regards to the HTC thunderbolt, there is currently an issue where the kickstand is reflecting outgoing audio back in to the microphone and causing this echo effect.

For optimal performance, we have found that turning the volume down 1 click from the maximum level can help with this. We have also heard that using a headset will eliminate this issue.
