I know we don't have a Front Facing Camera so it is not real convenient, but I would like to see if there is anyway I can video chat to someone on a computer. I am going away on a cruise and my wife wants to be able to video chat her parents so we can see the baby. I have tried fring and skype, but neither have worked for me.

Seems fring requires you call someone with a phone that is capable of video chat. I was going to give them my mini laptop which has a camera built in.

Any ideas how this can be done?

Tether the phone to a laptop and use the laptop.
Not the solution you wanted but it worked for me when I was in Vegas for a week at a class.

    oh, found friendcast.
Might need a mirror to see your screen.

Let us know if it works.

I downloaded but not sure how it works, thanks for the tip though. Hopefully there is another option...

I have tried Qik, Fring, and Skype

Most are just phone to phone, and skype doesn't offer video chat on its mobile service.

Ok, I understand this sort of fits the Support idea, but could we make an Apps thread? I know it stretches it even thinner but would get more of a response to my question in a section dedicated to Incredible Apps.

  7. I don't believe it can work without using like a mirror or something to the camera lol. But even then, its kind of a hassle and you might as well just use a laptop, with your phone as a tethering device.

  8. Just saw this. This has been brought up before amongst the mods and it was voted no.

If you would like, I can move this thread to the Apps forum
