How would I send a video through text message with my android phone without downloading an app. All my videos seem to be to large even if they are 15 seconds. I never had this problem with my iphone.

Because the iPhone does not use text to send videos. It uses iMessaging service. Basically, think of it like Facebook messenger that sends chat messages through the internet, but can use sms as well.
This is available also on Google as Hangouts, which you can use to send sms both over the internet and your carrier, which would allow you to send big videos through it, but never really caught on. Few Android users activated their Hangouts for this use as far as I can telk.
