    Video Review
YouTube - Review: Seidio Innocase and Ultimate Screen Guard for HTC Evo 4G

    Summary

Seidio has long been known as one of the top providers of smartphone accessories.

I received the Ultimate Screen Guard - Crystal Clear, and I must say that it is very similar to my SGP Steinheil Crystal Clear for Moto Droid. Is there a difference? It's hard to say. It does feel like the Seidio protector drags your finger a tiny bit more. I put the protector on in my room. Don't need to do the shower trick if your room is dust-free. The Screen Guard feels like glass, is static cling instead of water+soup application, and doesn't affect image quality. In the future though, I will probably end up going with a Anti-glare/fingerprint screen protector, because fingerprints drive me crazy. Also note that this protector does not have cutouts for the front camera and sensors, unlike Clarivue.

Their main competitors in terms of cases include OtterBox and BodyGlove. OtterBox does not yet have a case announced for the Evo. BodyGlove cases are usually considered inferior to Seidio's, though cheaper. I must say I am VERY satisfied with the Seidio Innocase. I'm even starting to like the purple look! It doesn't add much to the phone, it protects the back camera, and there's so much potential for future accessory compatibility if you stick with Seidio. I loove the rubbery texture, much more than the back of the Evo itself. I often listen to Pandora while driving, and the Evo slides around like crazy on the tray. With the new case's grip, it stays in place and I feel a lot more secure about the Evo. Highly recommend this case!

What's up with Seidio and women looking upwards?

Ultimate Screen Guard - Crystal Clear

Very simple packaging. Booklet style holds everything.

    Evo without screen protector.

Evo with Ultimate Screen Guard - Crystal Clear. No glare reduction.

Comes with 2 protectors, application card, and microfiber cloth.

    Huge piece of microfiber cloth!

Comes with instructions on the card.

It's on! Can you see it? Neither can I.

1 millimeter of space left on top. I shouldn't have aimed it flush at the bottom edge of the Evo.

    Looking great!

    Innocase II Surface

Lots of leftover room in the packaging for such a thin case.

    The two halves.

Closer inspection of the inside. Love the feeling of the felt!

    Snap it on the Evo.

Kickstand works great! No weight redistribution so the Evo is rock steady.

    Top and side cutouts.

Bottom cutouts for mic and ports.

Seidio screen protector + case = safe as can be.

I didn't have a tripod, so I used the next best thing. A trashcan. Rigged with scotch tape.

thanks for the pics. i think purple's a weird color but your shots, the evo, and seidio's case makes it look good! :) the screen protector looks really good as well, i shold've gotten that instead of the clarivue (although it hasn't arrived yet but some say its fitment is around 98%.)

hahaha best I could do. Look through the entire house for a tripod (that's how I got that cut on my left hand palm) and couldn't find one. Then went MacGyver :D

as far as the screen guard i have a feeling i would mess it up while putting it on. If i took it to sprint, would they put it on for me?

First of all. these static cling protectors are very easy to apply. I doubt that the sprint store will be happy to put on something that you didn't buy from them.

You should get the two pack.

After a day of using the phone with the Ultimate Screen Guard, i'm liking it a lot more now. It used to harder to drag your finger across the surface (because it's new), but now I feel like I've "broken in" the protector and it's muuch smoother now.

The case looks good. Seems they are not in stock most places and Seidio charges more. Tryin to find one...

If this screen protector is installed evenly on all sides does the innocase cover the edges where the screen protector ends? IOW what I'm asking is will the innocase completely overlap the screen protector so that the edges of the protector are not visible next to the edges of the innocase?

    Thanks!

Yup, only the speaker grill is exposed if you put on both the screen protector and the innocase.

Thanks. I couldn't see in your pics or video but does the case leave a gap between itself and the screen protector at the top of yours due to the fact that you positioned it very low? BTW I ordered a 2 pack of the screen protectors partly based on your glowing review. I got the Platinum case at BB which is exactly the same as the Innocase, just re-branded and I LOVE IT.

No, I do not see a gap between the top of the protector and the case. That's because the case comes inwards towards the screen a bit. Just make sure you try to center it so you do not have any problems.

Totally off subject of this thread but I have to ask... How did you customize that bottom row of buttons on the main screen? That clock is bad ass too. Way to pimp out your EVO :)

Haha Clock is Destroy skin for Beautiful Widgets. The dock that you see is part of home replacement app LauncherPro Beta. Both I highly recommend. You'll have to look for the LauncherPro blog for the APK since the market is glitching out at the moment.

Yeah I cant seem to find "LauncherPro" in the market anywhere. So home replacement is kind of like a different sense UI so to speak? Is it hard to switch back and forth between the sense that came on the phone and the replacements? If and when I find the .apk file, do I need to find another program to use it?

Hmm I think it'll be very obvious to you when you install LauncherPro. Yes it replaces the Sense UI homescreen. You're also able to switch between eachother until you make a decision to make one of them the default. Just tap the APK on ur phone and it will install.

Thank you for all the help :). I just have a couple more questions (scared to do anything to screw up my phone). How do you switch back to sense? Once you make one the default how do you undo that?
