I was wondering if I am able to view pictures and video from an SD card on my EVO. The card reader has a male USB and I would need to get the correct cables. Does the phone have the software to read these also?

I want to be able to view a peripheral SD card via a card reader connected to the EVO, will that work, and what hardware do I need? The card reader is USB.

A usb card reader isn't necessary if you have the USB cable that came with your phone. Just plug it into the phone and then to your pc and choose 'mount as hdd'. The sd card will show up on your pc and you can drag/drop or copy/paste files to it.

I think the OP is trying to connect a card reader to the EVO to view the movies on another SD card. Kinda like an external drive.
