There are currently no roms really being developed for our phone. However, there are two great threads that you can check out to have Carbon Rom 4.3.1 up and running on your SGS3 with everything working

Yeah. We are basically feeding off the sprint development (not everybody, but most) and creating fixes for our phone.

This is an awesome phone, I am really enjoying mine. At this point in the month, you might just want to wait for Cyber Monday and see if Virgin offers a better deal, but either way I would highly recommend. If you do get one and want to run custom ROM's on it, you will want to utilize these two threads: http://androidforums.com/virgin-mobile-galaxy-s3-all-things-root/771802-mod-sprint-virgin-mobile-lte-mms-fix-wip-cm-aosp-tw-update-10-14-a.html and http://androidforums.com/virgin-mobile-galaxy-s3-all-things-root/791952-all-in-one-guide-modifying-custom-roms.html. Flashing custom ROM's causes issues with LTE and MMS, MopedRyder has done a great job putting together flashable .zip files to fix this. In order to flash custom ROM's in the first place, you have to choose a Sprint ROM, and you need to know how to modify it, the second link is a thread I put together with instructions on how to do that.

Agreed. By far the best phone I've had. And with 4.4 development already taking off, the s3 still has a bright future still to come.
