Root [Virgin Mobile] NDC to ND8 for hotspot mod.

OK, quick question. My s3 is virgin mobile, stock, rooted, NDC. I have to let my wife borrow it for a couple weeks, and she likes it stock. I have the paid WiFi tether router app but I want to be the worlds best husband and give her native tethering without needing an app. Obviously I need to be nd8 for the hotspot mod, so here is my quandary:
Is the best way for me to do it;.. keep NDC bootloader and modem then use cnexus' ND8 stock rooted zip, then ND8 hotspot mod? And to keep data working top it off with ktoonsez's kt747 kernel?
Or am I leaving something out, or does someone know a better combination of moves to go from NDC to ND8 with hotspot mod working?
Thanks to all my fellow S3 brothers and sisters.

Update: well I just went for it. All is good. Everything works including hotspot. I forgot to make a backup of the virgin mobile zone app, and the sprint zone app that I now have is quite useless. Lol. She will be very pleased that she can tether her nexus 7(2013) without an app. I'm sure I won't even get a thank you. Oh well, she's just used to me making everything just "work" for her, with no interest whatsoever in what it took to do it. But I'm glad it went perfectly.

Glad you got it working for her (I was never worried). My wife has the boost version of the s3 and I put ND8 on her phone for the same reason as you (a two week trip). And like your wife "she's just used to me making everything just "work" for her, with no interest whatsoever in what it took to do it."

That's married life for ya. Same here man. LOL!! I'll usually remind her and say, OH and by the way........ you're welcome and just give her a sh*t eating grin. I then leave the area as quickly as I can. LOL!! Ya know....... just in case she decides to throw something. Ahahaha.

Glad you got tether figured out and working. Happy Wife = a Happy Life. :D
